Pog would most likely win, but its not like Seppy has been lighting up the season so far. I think its kinda important not to tire yourself, both psychically and mentally, like that and instead focus 100% on what he had in mind: Olympics, Worlds especially and Lombardia. Seems like a better plan to me honestly

Well, Pogi can certainly try and as far as i understand he will, unless team prevents him. Plus obviously other races mentioned.

At this point Rogla likely the only realistic option, to prevent that on the road, the rest of the field already beaten, by minutes and on a daily basis.

Kuss a good example of melting down, after attempting something similar last year. Being a factor in all 3 GTs, this year it's like he doesn't even ride any more. Visma, due to being greedy, not a lot of sympathy involved this year, considering all the issues they are having.

Ultimately we'll see at the Vuelta.

I don't know why I respond, but:

No, the team will not "prevent" him. If Pogacar wants to race in La Vuelta, he will. But he doesn't want to and thats not just understandable, but IMO also the right thing to do.

The article says the team will prevent him from participating at Vuelta, just like it was said for Ayuso a day or two back, for the team to prevent him participating, on where the organiser still hopes they change their mind in regards to Ayuso. So now lets see on how much merit that really has in about a month time.

Roughly translates to in no way Pogi is doing Vuelta i won't allow it, absolutely out of the questions. Pogi is an amazing person and grand champion, still he is only human and it's their responsibility to take care of him and his future.

A couple of days back Ayuso was said not to participate, team not allowing it, due to different reasons.

Now personally i feel that Ayuso wants to go and i feel that Pogi might not be willing to stop. So said all that lets see if any of Pogi or Ayuso will do Vuelta 2024. For now it seems that the team is against it and won't allow it.

The dilemma here, for Pogi, is look, i have beaten everybody this year, at GTs, bar Rogla. Should i just sit and watch, on how Rogla wins Vuelta? Ayuso agreeing.

Only way Pog could do it is if he goes thermonuclear on stage 4 and literally follow wheels for the other 2.5 weeks.
