I think Bora are not riding for Roglic anymore, he lost 5 minutes so it's done. They're now riding for Lipowitz, he's the only one who gained time.

This was Bora's key mistake in yesterday's stage. They mistakenly thought other teams rated Lipowitz'ts GC ambitions at the Vuelta, where, in fact, other teams did not rate him at all, hence, their reluctance to chase down Lipowitz.

Wanty bet for today: Vito Braet

Definitely a podium candidate today. Probably the one stage that really suits him. Question is if he's already on this level of course, this isn't a random one day race in Portugal.

This doesn’t work well for almeida too in practice. But a lot of race ahead. We shall see if it plays out well. Roglic works, almeida waits

Roglic's form and pain are still a big question mark, not to mention he crashes often. Almeida is only 8s back and he also has to recover time. Waiting for Roglic for attack is not a good move. This whole waiting between Bora and UAE is stupid on both sides.

No Kron which is bad news for Lenny VE, but we still await Campenaerts and De Gendt's breakaway attempts.

It's doubly stupid on Roglic' end, because a similar standoff ended up really hindering him in the 2019 Giro, so you think he would have learned.

Knowing the great mind that is Patxi Vila they won't do it, but BORA should go balls to the wall every day to crack O'Connor. Make him and AG2R ride on the defensive everyday, and make use of Vlasov and Lipowitz while you still can.

That being said, the post probable outcome is the idea of clawing back small margins every day.

I believe that in 2019 he was fully on the limit and essentially just trying not to get dropped and it's mainly Nibali who misread the situation.

Like IIRC notorious mountain sprinting prodigy Nibali winning the sprint for 3rd in Courmayeur while Roglic came in dead last in the group

Also pretty sure Roglic wasn't fully on the limit on Nivolet.
