So now we both have two stages, eh?

Want to put some money on which of us ends up on more?

I'm guessing being a successful GC rider takes experience and well developed resilience - riding for GC here develops that.

I mean UAE have no shortage of such riders and settling for a GC top 10 for Del Toro seems rather lame. Also why is it so important for you, or anybody else, that he might get experience to be successful one day? The Vuelta is now, I am sure he can have his practice run without the entire team putting their eggs in that basket.

What's going on with Carapaz and EasyPost? Does the Tour in his legs have him tired? I see them in pink up at the front and wonder why they're all so far from GC. Mostly I got really into watching the TDF this year and my 4 yo daughter loves cheering for Carapaz and the polka dots, so I'm bummed to not see him dominating more, kinda hope he goes for 1 stage like in the Tour and clinch it (the footage of EasyPost on the bus made it seem like they'd been planning that one stage win for years). I see he is still wearing his KOM polka dot wahoo heart monitor.

In another news, the crash of Ciccone and Juaristi was caused by three herds of roe deer crossing the road. They also did some damage to one of Euskaltel's cars.

No roe deers in Cazorla. It is a mistake.

There are deers...a lot, wild goats, a lot. Fallow deer (Dama dama) and one of the few places in Spain to see muflons, the wild sheep. But no roe deers, we have a lot of them in Burgos, but in Andalucia just at Grazalema and is rare.

talking about deers...

“Suddenly I saw a deer that was stuck between the bikes on the roof of their team car,” he said, according to Nieuwsblad.be. “The beast was struggling a little to free itself, one bicycle fell from the roof and so it could free itself again. They were serious animals.”

> T-Rex-QuickStep sports director Wilfried Peeters added: “The animal struggled to free itself, one bike fell off the roof and that’s how it was able to free itself. They were serious animals.”

While I guess his expertise is in dinosaurs, perhaps he is also knowledgeable about contemporary mammals.
