He is not that bad on climbs. And this climb is not that hard.

The first 7k are above 7% average, that's pretty hard for him. Also yes he isn't horrible at climbing, but at pro level he has never shown to be decent either. u23 results don't say anything. He just had a bigger engine than others so he could get decent GC results.

They probably catch him after 2kms of climbing.

Vingegaard can still win the stage, but I think he'll be passive. Almeida and UAE should also take a defensive posture, worried of a counter. So it's up to Pidcock and Ciccone to attack the rest in the fight for 3rd.
