riders I'd like to win from that break: Soler, Ayuso, Sheffield, Kwiato, the Movistars, Shaw, Pickering, Christen, De la Cruz, Howson, Dunbar, O'Brien.

So we have half a peloton upfront now.
Soler sneakily stealing KOM points.

Marc Soler always alternates between attacking and getting dropped on descents. Meanwhile Masnada has swung back to getting dropped on the descent.

You know nothing is better for your team leader than sending your troops in a breakaway one day before the hardest stage of the race.
Almeida must be pleased.

Nah, most probably UAE's won't be needed much tomorrow at all.
I can see Visma controling all day and an all out attack by Vingegaard.

It would be nice for Almeida not to be alone at the foot of Angliru though

All part of being a good teammate. Points accumulated might not amount to the jersey for Soler, but will benefit Jay Vine because the points are not available to his rivals.

Eurosport seem To have special intel on the final climb being skipped or levelled or something, interviewing Rast on Pedersen and interviewing Denz.

Last time it was ridden Soler actually attacked a full Visma train on the climb directly BEFORE Angliru. He was 6th in GC on stage 17 at the time.

Lost 18 minutes.
Probably the greatest Soler performance of all time. Comfortably sitting on the top 10 on the third week of a grand tour, and throwing it all away by attacking solo 50km before the angliru from the peloton. It was amazing

Yes.

Marc Soler is a disgrace.
Soler is not the leader, majority of his moves are dictated from the car.
My own personal view is the jerky up and down, strained, uncomfortable style of Soler is difficult to watch, even more difficult to enjoy.
Seeing bigger riders like Fred Wright, Jorgenson, Politt, Ganna, Pedersen.. All are smoother and don't look like they are fighting the bike
