It might as well been his team who ****ed it up because they didn't get him into position. But I don't see how he's given up on GC based on that. Remember he used to be a trak not a road guy, and toda it was tricky to stay up front.
I hope you're right, 'cause he's my fantasy team. In any case, he has been given the same time as the winner.

What happened to Duarte?

If anything happens to him I'm going to blame Ryo even though he's not around, the usual kiss of death via proxy.

Ahh OK. I thought he lost some time.
Preemptive explanation, in case he does lose time one of these days: he hasn't been able to race much or train properly after being forced to withdraw from te Giro, so it wouldn't be a surprise if his form is not quite good at the moment. He should get better as the race goes by.

I hope so, but it's also possible it doesn't get better, of course. It's very hard to excel in the Vuelta without an adequate preparation. But he's an extremely talented rider, he might as well be a very good domestique for Menchov.

Shack fail.

126 202 BUSCHE, Matthew RSH + 44''
158 204 KLÖDEN, Andreas RSH + 1' 18'

Klöden stated already one week ago that he won't be up there.
He still has some little back problems and can't be in topshape.
I even posted it earlier around here.

Don't know about that young American dude, but if it gives you some pleasure, then call it an epic fail by Matthew Busche.
I still have the commentators in my ear. They screamed "BUSCHE dropped, BUSCHE dropped".

You seem to be still motivated after yesterdays fail-party. Is there anything greater than a Shack-fail in your life ? Besides your mod-position I mean. :D

I think you made that bet with me? I can vaguely remember I had a discussion with somebody about Kittel in the Vuelta

cj ........just shows lead out trains are over rated imo,

Nope. It shows that a combination of twists and bends with 2kms to go and 270m @ 8% in the last km can break a leadout train.
