Wow, just Wiggo!

If someone had told me that this afternoon TGBM would be leading and Wiggins would drop every GC contender I'd of had them committed.

That stage was better than I ever could of imagined.

His Greatness is just finally showing what every Dutch Mafia member has been saying for years he was capable of...

Did anyone listen....????

All hail TGBM!

Very interesting stage. TGBM really is good, never expected him to be up there. But, just to bait the Dutch Maffia, Mollema didn't do a single turn on the front for the entire climb (or at least I didn't see it) while Martin and Nibali attacked hard and Wiggins did a lot of pulling on the final bit. If it wasn't TGBM but a rider from a different country you'd be calling him a wheelsucker now :p

We didn't see anything of Menchov, Kessiakoff, Zubeldia, Taaramae, Poels until the finish

this was a nice stage.

great win for martin. the head wind killed nibali completely . . . wiggins looking very good on this kind of climbs. should be interesting to see him climb the angliru.

this vuelta is getting very interesting.

btw D_T nibali doesn't attack? do you still consider him your most hated rider? :p

Awesome stage and we will have an incredibly exciting TT tomorrow too! Wiggins could actually win the GC, he has already put time on the guys who will destroy him on Angliru (Rodriguez, Anton).

Yea, Wiggins' drive was intense, but he did seem to run out of steam in the final km when everybody was still sitting on him, as the Menchov group were very close at the end, just came out of nowhere to be right with the leaders.

Anybody else noticed that Dan Martin has now won both the major MTF bunch finishes? (not that there was much of a bunch left!)

He has a really excellent sprint from a small group.

What an amazing stage and a really big day for a number of riders:

1) Dan Martin proves that he can mix it in the big leagues when it comes to climbing.

2) Wiggins proves that he can climb in a way most people had begun to suspect we weren't going to see from him.

3) Chris Froome: One of the most unexpected wearers of the title superdomestique.

4) TGBM also showing that he belongs in this company.

5) Nibali puts another nail in the coffin of the myth that he doesn't attack going uphill.

Martin's got a great wee sprint in him and for a climber that means stage wins

He said he added 3kg of muscles to get more punchy, I guess it paid off!

Super Froome & Wiggins!
