That was quite an alien performance

Why remco fanboys always make excuses? It was a long climb at high altitude. He is not brilliant at altitude.

Remco might not be the best at altitude, but his performance today wasn't really proof of anything other than some riders are in better shape at this point of the year/had a better day than him. And he obviously knew that, otherwise he wouldn't have attacked the way he did.

This was a disappointing performance. Being beaten by Colombian climbers is acceptable, being beaten by an 80kg time trialist is not.
I'm looking forward to the interview.
Actually the last time that both Remco and Ganna rode this climb, they finished on the same time. It is a climb that suits a time trialist like Ganna, a bit like those super long low gradient climbs on altitude they had in the Tour of Colorado and such (this climb happens to be called Colorado as well).

Thread is super funny.

He bolted away.

Then looked bored and sat up.

And lol at those who think he was hit by the altitude. In like what, the 50 meters he had gained during his attack? That’s just dumb.

And he then rode as if on a Sunday group ride.

Nice that he no longer feels he has to win every race he enters. No other rider is required to do that. Apparently some here still think he is the only pro rider who cannot simply be using a race for training before bigger targets.

I didn't said that remco did a bad performance. Simply, you should stop make excuses when he loses.
You blame the people that make excuses when remco won la vuelta or won the Worlds championship, but then all of remco fanboys do tue same thing when he loses.

No one is in great shape, not even bernal, higuita or lopez. It's january. They are better at altitude than remco, and that's it. Remco is better than them in other situations.
