I think he will go to Movistar after his contract with Bjarne runs out. Unless he develops a good relation with Bjarne and then I think Spanish teams are screwed for a long time.

Bertie and Piti in the same team?

That's just not fair.

is contador looking for free wins he should go to races with better competition.

The reason he chooses a "minor" race like CyL is that he is preparing for the Giro. He doesnt wanna dig too deep I think, which is also why he skipped a race like Pais Vasco. He will have to dig really deep in FW ofc, but thats also the last race he will do before the Giro. The plan is that he isnt showing up for the Giro in top form, cos he doesnt wanna burn him self out too much in the Giro as he will also aim for the Tour (unless CAS gives him a ban)

You're on the list for getting kicked out of the Dutch Mafia

Luckily I'm not a member.

:) Whoops, a mafia that does not even know it's own members.
This might mean two things:

1) It has become too big
2) It’s leader is not involved or lazy

mmmm which parcours is more sheety? Catalunya or this one?
Thanks god we'll have plenty of colombians attacking in every corner!
about Contador... well He has been doing high altitude training so... He must be at maybe 80-85% for this race... I dont think that He is going to attack, He will maybe follow attacks and then smoke everyone in the ITT... his eyes are right now in FW...

I think that Coppel could take this one... his form is good and with that ITT his chances are very high...
Hope we can see a little battle Contador - Pozzovivo - Coppel - Duarte - Quintana - Anton... I know that the mountains are not that steep but I'm asking for a miracle here ;)

Love to see Amador - Pardilla - Herrada in Movistar team for this race... is Amador going as a leader? Hope He is...

What about SKY? Looks pretty solid to me...

Ryo any thoughts in UNE - EPM for this race?

P.S: Seriously I dont know how Alberto didnt sign for Movistar... that team is just tailormade for him even without signing Noval, Dani and Jesus... but whatever... :(

epm-une are the best team in colombia riding with the best tactics, raul mesa is a legend in colombia and riders see it as an absolute honor to ride for his team even when they get paid less than in other teams, especially the younger riders.

the course really sucks but in level they are above colombia es passion in every way. perhaps it's better to expect something from them in asturias which is hard.

Cos movistar had no new main sponsor by the time he signed for SBS.

Well there was rumours about Movistar for that time... for me was clear that if Contador joined Unzue Movistar would have entered big time with tons of money but instead they did it pretty low profile... other aspect would be Riis "program and development" just see the big improvements that Andrew has had in these years... also Riis really know how to motivate his riders...

Ryaguas you are completely forgetting TGBM!

Well... Jokes aside... Bauke has a really good shot for Podium! he defended himself very good in Catalunya! He should have improved his form in this weeks...

Duarte reminds of a young Vino attack-attack and if you don't succeed attack again. But he needs to time his attacks. I thought he could have easily won two stages at Pais Vasco. Great talent I hope he tempers his attacks to land a few wins. But this parcours is not enough for him to get adequate gaps on the big boys like Contador who will smoke the ITT. Still I expect him to animate the race.

I think he should get some tips from Vino. :)

On second thoughts no as Vino would ask him to attack more.
:D

+1000 Post of the day! Thanks for the laugh!:D

I'm surprised they managed to find a climb in this landscape.
Looks like it's heli only shots through the town, which could make the finish a bit hard to follow.

Its a bit of a guessing game as to when to start recording. :/
About an hour to go is my guess.

(I think they just said they were at km 133 out of 174.......)
