I'm gonna go national fanboy this year, and say that Fuglsang will surprise everyone by being in shape and contend forthe podium :D

On a more realistic note, I hope Chris Anker and Fuglsang got somewhat free reigns and is allowed to contend for a stage win, they ought to have the power to grind some serius donkey on the 12% bits.

Dark (or black really) horse for me is Porte, though I think he will lose too much time on the really steep bits, but maybe with some proper help from Chris Anker he can minimize it and kill everyone in the TT :)

HA! I'm so excited - just realized this race will be broadcast by Universal Sports! Hoping for Vino to put on a decent showing.

For some reason, Universal showed Tirreno-Adriatico this past week. We're having the best of both worlds here in upstate NY/VT - skiing during the day and watching bike racing at night. :)

Would be nice to see Chris Anker and Jakob. It appears Jakob's legs are good, but he got food poisoning last Wednesday (according to his twitter), so he still had a bit of trouble with his stomach in GP Miggy. Still he was able to finish reasonably well so why not!

Hadn't heard about the food poisening. Let's hope it hasn't effected his form too much.

I am just worried he will be ordered to babysit the Schlecklets as usual even though they probably will just ride the race for the km's and not to content it. If Frank is serius about contending the GC I am all for Jakob to help, but if not let him run free, maybe even let frank and andy serve as domestics for a bit, would serve em better preperationwise than sitting in the back of the peleton freewheeling anyway. Ah but that is all wishful thinking...

For the record, that's Tony Martin at 9:55, and out of the GC if he was ever going to go for it in the first place. So that discussion's over.

That sounds somehow delighted. Hope you enjoyed.
You don't need any "if", he just stated on his homepage yesterday that he doesn't go for win, working on his form, paybacktime to teammates and he rides for support of TJ.

So, yes, come over it. Time goes on. :D

Yes you're right but it seems the Schlecks and even Monfort are stronger than Fuglsang right now. He wasn't able to pull at the front very long. I hope he'll be better for the classics!

Yeh, it didn't look too good when Monfort dragged more than Fuglsang did, so clearly he is not in contention for anything the net few days. Chris Anker ended down 50+ seconds with Porte, not exactly a fantastic showing either, I just hope he can get a decent win at one point, he works his behind off as a domestic, and really deserve something

Monfort is every bit the rider Fuglsang is. I'd rate them equally.

It's difficult to say because we haven't seen Monfort climbing in a while, but he has definitely performed stronger than Fuglsang so far this season. He was better on Green Mountain as well for example
