Solid TT by Mendoza. If Soliz fails to make a wonders in the mountains they're surely riding for Mendoza then?
the course is reasonably hard this year? harder I believe than last few years. last good course was 2009, when rujano won. I think soliz will be top. omar mendoza is 187 and 76 kg. he will suffer some in the mountains and there are no more flat itt

Yeah, few very hard stages. That being said, there's more pure flat stages than last year tho. Soliz is a pure climber and like you said, Mendoza's much bigger dude so it's intresting to see what Leyton comes up with. How an earth Mendoza managed to win Clásico RCN '15 btw? I thought that's a climbers race too?

I like how they are at least trying to get more of an international flavor. Among the standard jerseys is "Best Foreign Rider". Not sure who is leading that, although if they go by foreign team, it will be Team Jamis and Acevedo LOL

The route couldn't be more horrible. Way too easy for a guy like Rujano.

Sevilla is the favorite again. I just hope Acevedo can put up a good fight. He was really strong in the TT.

And of course Soliz is a big contender too.
I know that it's just a short highlights video, but he didn't look that great in the ITT, he was sliding around on the saddle.
Still, in a mountain stage or in an ITT at high altitude he's just ungodly strong.
I know that he raced in Europe last year, but there aren't many races in Europe that would suit him well, seeing him in the Tour of Utah or the now defunct USA Pro Challenge at high altitude against the American WT teams would have been more interesting.

soliz would also be very strong at sea level. but now too old to adapt I think.

this year the linea climb is much closer to the finish, which is good.

Soliz mostly gets better during a race.

Let's hope he stays fit.

Disappointing stage. Acevedo, Soliz, Parra, Ortega, Aguirre. All really poor.

Rujano actually quite decent. He's not suited at all to such an explosive finish.

It looks like Serna and Cano will be threaths. Especially the first one was strong yesterday. Gomez also good.

And Chaparro rode strong too. Hope ha can animate the race further in the 'mountains'
