Two days ago started with an absence of 4 years the legendary Vuelta de Chile. Traditonally one of the biggest races in america. this race should not be mixed up by the vuelta lider de chile a different stage race with just as much exposure
until 2004 big european teams would come here for the gigantic prize money, teams such as kelme and festina but also the top of the latin american teams like orbitel and the richest team of latin america, chilean team lider.
now chilean cycling is back and bigger and wealthier than ever. this years vuelta de chile has a budget of no less than 2 million euros!!
