Vuelta España Fantasy games

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find as much fantasy games as possible to play for the upcoming Vuelta España.

I really prefer games where you can create a team for a certain given budget or have to do predictions on stages etc.. For example, games that require you to pick 15 names tend to be more of a lottery.

Can you guys help me out and add other nice Vuelta games? Everything's welcome, kind of a fantasy freak.

There is http://www.velogames.com/ normally someone will set up a league for people on the forum and put the code in a thread in this section, the Vuelta game isn't up on there yet.

snccdcno, I came across velogames, but do they have a specific Vuelta game as well? Didn't find it, maybe yet to be announced?

Yeah it's not available yet it will appear fairly soon I'd imagine, normally someone will start a thread about it when it's open.

I should also add that their is also a game run on here by Armchair cyclist based around CQ points, the thread will probably be up fairly soon which will explain the rules.

The CQ game here and at Veloooms will be ready to run by the time the price list is available on Monday evening. Always happy to have the details posted elsewhere if anyone wants to copy (and translate) it elsewhere and pass on entries.

And what games do you guys play yourself this Vuelta? Would be nice to make topics for every game so we can share our experiences and possible succes/failure.

Head over to the Velorooms forum and play the Great Grand Tour Game. It's the best game for GTs. You pick the stage winner for each stage and the top 20 in gc. All the rules are there.

And does Velorooms also has a team you need to create? That's the system I like the most.

In Holland we got 3 similar games that I know of: Worldcyclingstats game, DVHN Vuelta game (Dutch newspaper) and Wheelhalla Manager Vuelta game, all very nice games. Worldcyclingstats & DVHN are in Dutch language only, but Wheelhalla Manager has English language as well.

Also in English:
Scorito lets you create a team with 20 riders for a certain amount, from which you have to pick 9 every day, during the Vuelta. Sportpools also let's you create your own virtual team in exchange for a given amount of points. But both are without predicting stages or classifications. Fun games though!

I'm not sure if Velorooms has a game like that.

Also Firstcycling.com is a great game. You create a 9 man team. The trick is finding the right combination of GC men, sprinters, ect. They have game managers for over 100 races through the year.

We have several CQ based games: a year-long one, an year-long one for young riders, a three year-long one for emerging riders, one for each Grand Tour, and one for the Spring Classics.

Flashke, I tried to enter the game you suggested multiple times. But after creating account and activating, the same message is being shown. Tried it a few times and gave up. Also, when clicking on Tour Vuelta or Voorjaar, nothing happens.
