Any rider ... who races for sprints and then quits Stage races "when the terrain doesn't fit my riding style" doesn't belong in cycling.

Since I still have a man-crush for Cipo I feel personally offended.
Farrar probably thinks he can win Paris-Tours or Paris-Brussels or whatever race starting in Paris. With the 3 next stages in mind it would be dumb to finish this race. Doing 3 GT's in 1 season is not that common at his age.

The UCI tends to bar riders from racing while a race they dropped out of by choice (as opposed to injury) is still ongoing.

Also, it'llbe the first time in many years that Paris-Bruxelles isn't won by McEwen. Will Hushovd finally win it after god knows how many tries?

Allow me to say: rest days suck major donkey genitals.

Also, most of the riders seem to agree with that. They actually hate rest days

This has a lot to do with the fact that certain riders tend to suck after rest days.

Expect people who will otherwise be very strong throughout the Vuelta to suddenly suck majorly tomorrow and go back to normal on Saturday. Perfectly normal.
