Vuelta sprinters field

The Vuelta has to be the GT that sprinters care the least about, many mountain stages and no chance to win the points jersey.
But this year the Vuelta will have a decent amount of good sprinters in it:
Cav, Sagan, BOUHANNI, DEGENKOLB and maybe even my man GUARDINI :)
On paper it looks like a tough race for Sagan, most of the top sprinters in this race can survive the hilly stages and give him a run for his money in those. Even Bouhanni, who surprised everyone on stage 1 of the Route du Sud.
The other thing is we can always hope for the ultimate sprint crash, with Talansky leading out Farrar and both Cavendish and Ferrari also sprinting:D

I doubt Guardia can make the team, but we'll see.
Interesting sprinters field indeed. In the past few years it was rather pathetic. I'm curious to see what Pelucchi (if selected) can do against the top sprinters.

Oh boy, mass sprints with Cav, Farrar, Talansky, Ferrari and Bouhanni isn't the safest sprinter either.

Too bad Kamikaze Kenny isn't around and Abdou retired.

I like Degenkolb's chances against this field. He's improved his top speed this year, and he's got to be motivated after the rough start to his Tour.

My fantasy team is relying on some of the outsiders --- Pelucchi and Guardini, though Id have to say Bling will probably do really well this Vuelta.

I'm really surprised that Cavendish is not riding the Vuelta, he could have abandoned halfway through if he was still in pain. As it is this'll be his first year since 2007 where he'll not have won a GT stage...

Is Sagan due to ride till the end (for the sprinters jersey) or just riding as preparation for the Worlds?

I only know about what was said in Slovak newspapers. The following text is copied from Peter Sagan discussion thread

http://sport.sme.sk/c/7305504/sagan-je-slovenskou-znackou-po-tour-je-spokojny.html
(in Slovak)

My translation: He will start in San Sebastian and on Vuelta.
Sagan said: "I consider Vuelta foremost as a preparation for World Championships. I believe that after WC I'll have some time for holiday and relaxing."
