Does Sanchez take 3rd? Yes he does, and bumps Basso one down.

still all almost within a minute!

At least Gesink tried to attack Valverde.

+8 for Sanchez.

The overrated Fuglsang finished 2nd.

a break mate. Still doesn't change the fact, he failed to deliver in terms of GC. ;)

Good stage. Hard to see Evans and Basso getting podium anymore. Mosquera as good as he has been, wont either.

I think Valv has won this, Sanchez will probably get over gesink. We'll see.

Valverde got pushed up the hill. Nice way to come back

I am disgusted by the Spanish.

Well, he got some help on the steep pitch but you have to acknowledge that he accelerated on his own to take back the time gaps.

What a great climb by Cunego. Let's not forget that he probably won two of the hardest stages in the Vuelta =)

Valverde looks good. Seems like he could take it.

Gesink's podium is far from certain with the time trial still ahead. Funny things can happen in time trials.

As long as the weather conditions are the same for that the riders that still matter in the GC. Total turn of if some have to ride in rain, and others not.

So, 1 mountain stage and 1 time trial to go.

Anything can still happen. Well, except a frenchman winning. We all know that never happens :D

Tomorrow's stage could see sanchez try something on the descent too.
And of course stage 19 will be interesting. I can see Sanchez winning this yet.

A 1 or 2s push like that does more damage than help, breaks any rhythm you may have had going. he was just keeping it spinning and waiting for the legs to come back to him at that point.

On the steep pitch, getting pushed is a HUGE advantage. On the non steep parts we know what Valverde can do.

It's not Valverdes fault, but it is now definately a cheated competition/stage. Sad. I blame the Spanish fans.
