WADA has beef with Contador meat claims

Considering that there is no allowed threshold for this drug, AC has gotten one hell of a "fair shake" from WADA. The fact that they spent a considerable amount of time and money to investigate his excuse (before he was even charged) means that people are bending over backwards to keep hope alive for the guy.

I see if differently - I think WADA are investigating this because they don't want the Spanish/UCI going easy on him (reduced ban) and are trying to cover all their bases.

We can view it from whichever angle we want. The fact is, they've done their due-diligence.

They could have kept the report under their hat and used it at the inevitable CAS hearing.
