Watching on Mont Ventoux?

Has anyone here got any experience of watching the tour from Mont Ventoux?

I'll be there so looking for any tips people have regarding - when to arrive, where to park (both if planning on walking to the stage monday morning, or alternatively arriving the night before), where to watch, what to expect, etc.
