Being in the top 3 for the final stage of Tour of Turkey also earns you a rather interesting prize!

So... the Winner of Paris-Roubaix gets a cobblestone
The winner of Tirreno-Adriatico (sp) gets a pitchfork

Any other odd trophies?

Ah, two dandies, with a crap-load of symbolism. I suspect there is more than a bit of Masonic symbolism wrapped into the Cobblestone trophy for Roubaix. I've read that a rough hewn stone or ashlar represents a new initiate into the craft (or on to the list of champions??), and a master builder is represented by the perfect ashlar - or perfectly smooth and true stone.

http://www.masonic-lodge-of-education.com/rough-and-perfect-ashlar.html

Perhaps I'm imagining things, but I thought I read somewhere that team owners (master builders??) received a smoothed cobblestone trophy, but I haven't been able to find or refind anything that would support that notion.

As for the Trident trophy for Tirreno-Adriatico, well, it's the "Race of the Two Seas. Poseidon and Neptune were the Greek and Roman Gods of the Sea, and well...

"Tridents are featured widely in mythical, historical and modern culture. The sea god Poseidon or Neptune is classically depicted bearing a trident."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trident

... sorry, I'm into this goofy stuff.

I didn't. The video was removed by the user. Crapola, I'd like to see that.

He doesn't own that dog. He has a Weimaraner called Tour and he got it from a gift from a TV station.
