What Did You Learn Today?

Seems like a reasonable topic of discussion, no?

For example, I was watching TV this morning, and I learned that apparently Cadillac somehow feels that the Escalade is "legendary." Wow… legendary? Really? The Escalade? No.

The Mustang is legendary. The GT40. The Corvette. There hasn't been a Cadillac I would consider legendary that didn't have tail fins at the back or bull horns at the front. The Escalade is no more legendary than my Escape.

Up yours, Cadillac.

So. What did you learn today?

So, if I read you correctly, you almost learned something but you hit the "Abort"-button just in time, by mobilizing prejudice and nostalgia?:p:p

Me, I've learnt that not all Hells Angels-guys are that tough. This morning I saw a big HA-guy at the checkout in the grocery store, paying with his Visa-card. He was in full regalia, complete with a few nasty tattoos on the side of his neck. Next in line was an elderly, frail-looking woman clutching her two-wheeled shopping-trolley. She was, roughly estimated, one-third of his weight. And what did the HA-guy do? He used his left hand as a shield when he entered his pin-code on the card-reader, making it impossible for the elderly woman to see the number he was entering. Very prudent of him. You never know with those elderly ladies. They'll land a sucker punch in the blink of an eye. :D
