I heard he dropped out because his "bike broke"??? What does that mean? And where was a teammate for him?

I don't know the exact details but it took four minutes for the team car to get to him after his frame cracked or failed in some way. Where the rest of the team were is anyone's guess. I suspect in pub with a massive serve of frites and mayo with a cold Chimay or an Orval or two...

And what happened to Pozzato?
Did not finnish?

edit: saw a wrong results list, where pozzato somehow mistaken for Isaichev... Pipo ended 38th in the group of Farrar.

sagan had to avoid a crash in front of him,so he rode in to hole and broke his frame, had to wait 4 minutes for mechanics then got back on bike this was around 170km,he got within a minute of the leading bunch of 30 riders, but no one else was willing to chase them down,so the team decided to pull him around 40km to go to save his energy for roubaix.
sucha bad luck for it to happen on patterberg

I hope Sagan won`t have any trouble next Sunday and he will show us what he is capable of... Good luck to him.

someone should plot the number of frame failures in the cobbled classics through the steel, aluminum, titanium, and carbon eras

Uh, thats sad.

But Peter will still have enough years to learn, stay out of trouble and have some luck.
Looking forward to Roubaix, but I think Ronde suits him better. We'll see.

I agree. He could do well in both races in the future, but Ronde definitely suits him much better than roubaix. He could get a decent result though, because with this kid you just never know...

He has had his share of bad luck this season though, with a rolled tub in that sprint in Paris-Nice and just barely getting caught in Gent Wevelegem, and now a busted frame!

He will be just fine in Roubaix until the dreaded mile 130. To much to ask for a young lad like Sagan. Guy is a Mountain biking BMX demon, no issue with parcours.

Damn, I thought cannondale was a good bike. Guess I'll have to replace my supersix then :p

I have to correct you there, mate. In insider circles Cannondale is also known as "Crack'nfail". Sagan's fate appears to be another fine example to support the appropriateness of this nick name.
