Whats the best way to get to a stage in TdF?

I will be in Paris with time on my hands 14-15 of July and would love to pop down and see stage 11, I just have no idea how to get the 100km or so south to see the stage. I checked and no trains will take you to close enough. Anybody with experience on such things?

get as close as you can by train, take a pile of 10 euro bills and a few packs of gauloises and have fun.

This stage isn't going to give you the full TdF experience. Get down to Bedoin and walk up Le Mont Ventoux for the full job. Allow 3 days to get back to Paris.
