sorry. i can't decide with the set of options.

My moment: when i heard that Voeckler won a TT

To me Horner alone- because of his 41 y.o. new found fitness- is way too much to handle.. I mean.. the grotesque fact that an old man with a recent knee surgery, with no training at all, shows up at the vuelta & literally "out of the saddle'd it" to win, is far beyond comedy....:D

nonetheless the 200+ rpm of Froome & the smiley Porte are along the lines-BUT- it was expected somehow....

This poll needs a Vino/Other option.
I suggest Voeckler's TT win

Froomey can do that , Porte can do that, Horner can do that, Santambrogio can do that.

I can force myself to believe each and every one of them

But, Voeckler taking a TT win, esp with other TT specialists in the same race?

I want my Vino option!!

another option for consideration:

The tabriz guys.

they managed to make the rest of the peloton call foul, and the organizers said there was no EPO in urine.

Admitted: I don't remember if that's what made me LOL the most... I just wanted to post something that didn't hint at doping. :D
And get in before the close.
This was the only thing that made me go :mad:

Like I stated it: from Froome & Porte it was expected that kind of madness because of what they showed in previous races-at least it was coming - BUT honestly- Who sincerely saw Horner coming to the Vuelta @ 41 y.o. with any chance of "smashing it" ???

1. Horner- It was the least excepted. If somebody had told you Grandpa Horner was going to win the Vuelta, before the start of the race, you would have told him to check in to a lunatic asylum.

2. Froome- Was somewhat expected but his "Cadence" on Ventoux was ridiculous and hillarious.

3. Santa- Him doing well in one day races wasn't a surprise, but 4th in the Giro and staying with Nibbles on a mountain top finish:eek: However you at least had a feeling he will get caught unlike the Anglo's

4. Porte- His rise was somewaht expected but his early season performances and him dropping Contador, LOL.

5. Wiggins descending like a girl. For a change I enjoyed it a lot ! ceratinly gave me the most pleasure.

The most ridiculous perfromance are always fun to watch after a few moons has gone by. Like that giro ride by Ivan The Great...taking him as an example.
Good point to remember. There are some golden moments of laughter out there.

Laughing is pretty much all one can do ATM. It's non stop comedy. :D

the line between laughing and crying is thin though.

edit: my vote goes to horner.
love how he puts "marginal gains" and "biggest budget" type of explanations into the proper perspective.

Do I not get the chance to vote for Andy Schleck, a guy who a few years ago was one of the best climbers in the world, and now he can hardly finish a race
Same can be said for Sir Bradley Marc Wiggins OBE

At least he won a time trial and came second in a grand tour tt, and top ten in Catalunya, Shleckette though, Grand Tour contender to out the back so many times, his only top 10 was in luxemborg nats (only just)

Seriously, Wiggins fall as a stage racer was pretty funny. His Giro was like a children's book "Sir Wiggo meets a real race with rain, descents and stuff". And also I like the fact he's gaining weight to win WC TT when he only won meaningful TT's as a skinny-unhealthy bike rider.

Nevertheless, the best moment was a breakaway sprint in some stage race I can't recall (Suisse perhaps) where Grabsch realised it's hard to sprint in something like 58-11 :D
