In classics, the answer is clear. Remco.
For stage races, I believe Remco is still the number one but this will probably change in 5 months. Remco doesn't have in him another GT win. The question is: Does anyone else have in Bora the ability to win a GT? I don't think so.

Gianni Moscon enters the chat furious that noone mentions him. He is ready to fight.
So I'll save everyone and vote for him.

You're welcome.

Remco when he's present.
The the others (Lipo, Giulio, Papi Rogla).
Still wondering about Lipovitz tho...strange schedule.
And Jay I don't feel like he deserves the support of such a great team so nay.

It's clear that Remco and leadership are inseperable. I read that he even impacts the morale of the classics team. Regarding his actual GC-leadership in one-week races or GTs: I think that depends a lot on his shape and position in the GC. A true leader focusses on the team result. He has done this in the past.

I think Evenepoel is actually still the leader and rightly so, but...

1. Evenepoel should be the leader in all hilly one-day races. He should be a co-leader for the Tour and in any one-week WT stage he contest. But always with a joint-leader because he fails too often in the mountains.

2. Lipowitz should be the main leader for the Tour, with Evenepoel as a co-leader. Lipowitz should also target the one-week stage races, but besides the real mountainous ones, is not a very good choice for actually captaincy.

3. Pellizzari, should have a completely separate program from Evenepoel and Lipowitz in the first half year, and potentially some shared duty with Evenepoel only after the Tour. Should be a leader everywhere he starts, but he still needs to learn actual leader skills as he seems way to nice at the moment.

4. Roglic, should be a co-leader when he starts and can start some races together with Evenepoel or Pellizzari. He shouldn't be the single leader anymore in my opinion, just shared.

5. Hindley, still deserves a well-balanced program with some leadership or co-leadership roles and some domestique duties in my opinion. Then let the road decide how long he can stay in that role.

6. Van Gils, same as Hindley but for the hilly races.

7. DFM, mostly domestique nowadays in my opinion and a good one at that when in shape.

8. Vlasov, should be a domestique mostly, but is a very bad one unfortunately. I would let him leave after this season.

Others are even lower in the hierarchy or are skilled in race types where Bora can just allow them their freedom and see what comes out of it.
