If you get Evenepoel for 6M a year and a buy out clause and the main target of the sprint is Catalunya (4th or whatever and why Catalunya) and Liege (3rd after getting completely stomped on La Redoute and finishing almost 2 minutes down) then it doesn't bode well.

For real, the biggest part of Evenepoels' sales pitch was still that he's a future TdF winner, now he's getting destroyed by a kid 7 years younger in one of his favorite races.
I agree that based on his results this spring they overpaid. Let’s see how the rest of the season goes.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone on this team deserves 100% leadership. None of them have shown they can be in contention for a major victory. None can hang with Pogacar, Seixas, Vingegaard, MVDP, Wout races that suit their respective strengths (all, in Pogacar’s case).
In a way reminds me of the infighting with RadioShack-Trek 2011-2013.

They can mostly podium, winning would come with better support, but that currently doesn't seem to be a possibility, support is just not a thing. Maybe they try it out some day.
No amount of support is going to help lift Roglic, Lipowitz, Remco, Pellizzari, or Hindley over Pogi, Vingo or Seixas. It's just not going to happen. Bora's dilemma is that their only solid well rounded GC rider is considerably past his prime. All of the others have either weak areas or are just too inexperienced to really know yet. At least they don't still have Blo Blo Blo.

When you list names like that, out loud, then i know you are BS me. What they need to do is try. To be a team. We'll see at Romandie and if that looks good they still got reserves. As like only half the strength will be there. On the plus side, without trying to be a team, they will at best podium. So it's not like they have any big dilemmas involved in the first place. What they are doing now isn't working. They are pouring diesel in the gasoline engine.

What the hell is "bs" about what he said? That's just exactly how it is.

@Berniece

You personally often hint team support is overrated and to the post i was replying the very first sentence is "no amount of support is going ...".

Well, yeah, enough about that. It's time they level up in terms of support. Strategy, on where they supposedly have 7 or 8 leaders, depending on the race, clearly isn't working. And why can't suddenly past GT winners manage to get over penultimate climb. That just doesn't cut it any more.

I can't hear this team support thing anymore. If Roglic, Evenepoel and Lipo can't follow Seixas, Vingegaard and Pog there is nothing the team can do about it. The team is fine , there are just better GC leaders at the moment.
Nothing indicates that Roglic can follow the big three, even with the best team support in the world. So the best of the Bora riders can go for the podium.

@Faserr

So basically leaders of other teams are true Bora leaders? Best hence if RBH supports them indeed. As why on earth would they support their own leaders. That makes perfect sense.

You will be hearing about it until they start supporting their own leaders, then we will move on to something else.

If the whole team would ride for Roglic. Explain to me how Roglic would win if Pogacar and Vingegaard decide to attack on Alpe d'Huez and Roglic can't follow.
