If Roglic somehow wins the Vuelta (without top dogs of course) then he will stay in RBH for another season.
That would require Roglic to both have the motivation to work for it and think he still has big results in him if he does. Which is why he won't sign such a contract.Or if any of those teams are smart they structure it like SOQ did it for Gilbert. Normal base pay, and high bonus structure. Would incentivise him to work for it.
Oh well, in that case you will be right and this is his last season. Maybe if he does a great Vuelta (podium or win) he's able to get a proper contract somewhere. That would require Roglic to both have the motivation to work for it and think he still has big results in him if he does. There's definitely way worse riders than Roglic on that sort of money, and there's even more in the 1M-1.5M range not doing anything year after year, but most of those at least have some domestic value, and there's not really imaginary potential that so many 2-3rd tier GC riders that were kinda young when they signed a fat contract had.Who exactly?
Alpecin - definitely not
Bahrain - half their team is out of contract and none of those are their most expensive riders, doesn't make sense
Decathlon - why would they
EF - definitely not
Groupama - definitely not
Ineos - cash seems to have dried up, otherwise maybe
Lidl - possible but unlikely
Lotto - definitely not
Movistar - highly unlikely
NSN - post-Froome debacle this hasn't been their style anymore
Soudal - definitely not
Jayco - definitely not
Picnic - definitely not
Visma - maybe as more of a mentor if there is no bad blood after the way they parted, but you don't pay 2M for that
UAE - only if Pogacar talks them into it for some reason
Uno-X - definitely not
Astana - highly unlikely
Tudor - possible but unlikely
Q36 - highly unlikely
The situation reminds me a bit of when Sagan went to Total, but unlike Sagan, Roglic doesn't have Specialized to pay a big chunk of his salary, and also unlike Sagan he is at a very normal age for a big name to retire at.
Lidl can sign him as a TGH replacementWho exactly?

Easy to forget that their 2025 tour team to support Roglic and lipovitz included a full sprint team for meuss. That was pretty funny. Not sure the little Belgian let's that happen again though.Van Poppel was withdrawn from the Giro and Meeus isn't going, I doubt either will be at The Tour with the team they are likely to take, and they will have to do a GT surely.
Just something to consider, a preview of maybe the team composition when it comes to Spanish races in August and team-based abandonments perhaps.
Tantrum of the century when Denk gets on the radio and tells them to hit the front on a flat stage so Vlasov can have a go sprinting against Merlier and Phillipsen.Easy to forget that their 2025 tour team to support Roglic and lipovitz included a full sprint team for meuss. Pog, Jonas and Sexais will sort it out very quickly and make it irrelevant 😅Yeah, if Rogla wins Tour-Vuelta in 2026, then maybe somebody will sign him for 100k, makes sense.
On a more serious note i don't believe RBH knows what they are doing and what to expect at the Tour 2026. In regards to leadership. The plan likely is to sort itself out. Valid question remains, though, what if it won't sort itself out.

If the Van Eetvelt to NSN and De Lie to Tudor rumours are correct then we can rule two of these out already.I think it could be Ineos, NSN, Tudor or Q36.5. And just maybe, but I really doubt it since they should get extra sponsorship for that, Unibet Rose Rockets.
It's the opposite, he must win if he will ride for RBH next season. So basically if Rogla wins Vuelta he will need to sign for another team but if he doesn't then he is good. Additionally if any other rider at RBH doesn't win anything in terms of GT racing and most important stage races, then they are all good.
So basically to keep riding for RBH you must not win. Guys, listen to yourself.
WonOne. GTs as in multiple against different challengers. At this point the Tour has become stacked and Remco hasn't had an answer for each of the guys that will finish in front of him. Lipowitz has paid some attention and is showing growth; not regression. Still a year away, though. You mean Roglic.
But Remco has won a GT as well![]()
He's riding like he'd gauging progress with no risks. That suggests he wants seriously to win the Vuelta and probably something notable after. That should gain him several years of good pay and enough time to work into promotional work. He's got enough quirky charisma to pull that off for Red Bull. Add another triumph he' have more Vueltas than anyone. That would make him a legend and seem a great career benchmark.Oh well, in that case you will be right and this is his last season. Only Pogacar is exceeding that career progress in the current group. Considering the wave of talent it's doubtful Jonas, Remco or anyone else could challenge that work.
