I know it's off topic but on national teams, if there were Worlds TTTs organised with national teams it would surely be Britain vs Australia for the title every year.

Wiggins-Thomas-Dowsett-Froome-Cummings-Stannard vs Porte-Dennis-Durbridge-Bobridge-Rogers-Hepburn/Meyer

My Dream GT team with riders only in Britain if the Tour went back to national teams. They would ride british Raleigh bikes. The kit would be similar to the national champs jersey or this. With no Brailsford at the helm the manager would be Rod Ellingworth. The DSs would be Roger Hammond and John Herety (Google these people if you dont know who they are).

The Team:
Simon Yates (GC)
Adam Yates (GC)
Chris Froome/Peter Kennaugh (Super Domestique)
Geraint Thomas (Medium Mountains/Hills Domestique)
Mark Cavendish (Sprinter)
Ben Swift (Sprinter/Leadout man)
Ian Stannard (Strongman/Domestique)
Stephen Cummings (Strongman/Domestique/TTist - sort of)
David Millar (Team Captain)

one yates is clearly a better bet than the other for GC, and neither are remotely close to froome, which i'm sure you know.

if the Columbians put a team together who could do the grunt work? other than Uran do any of them have a proper engine?

I could see the Spaniards falling out worse than wiggins and froome.

Rujano 2011
J.Hernandez
Paulinho
Noval
Tiralongo
not sure about the remaining slot, anyone will do, maybe Gadret in free role, and Porte as a leashed flat dom

At the moment Froomes form is below par. These two have shown quite capably they can stay with the big GC/Hilly terrain men. Out of them I dint know which is stronger as thry either are in different races, or one has broken bones. They'd fight it out on the road not video playbacks and results.

I know, Basso is currently not at that level, but I wanted to have a team that consists of Robo Basso and current riders. :)

who would be in your dream GT if your objective was not the GC, but to win as many stages in a typical tour as possible (prologue, 1 short, 1 long time trial, 1 TTT, 4 MTF the rest a mixture of the usual amount of none GC important stages)?

Under Netsek rules:
Chris Froome
Vincenzo Nibali (I think its tactically good to have two leaders. I took Nibali because of the cobbles)
Tony Martin
Fabian Cancellara
Lars Boom
Luca Paolini
Tony Gallopin
Jakob Fuglsang
Rafael Majka
(I think its tactically good to have two leaders so I took Nibali because he might be the best on the cobbles)
