Giuseppe Saronni! But well, only knew Saronni and Moser, a bit later some more... and soon realized that Saronni wasn't really all that great.
Then once saw a bit more got better choices:
-Marco Giovannetti, Federico Echave, Franco Chioccioli, Laudelino Cubino.
Fabio Parra over Herrera of course. (mostly liked being contrarian)
Johan Van der Velde was kind of cool too. Good in sprints and won mountain stages.
Claudy Criquielion of course, almost forgot
Hated Edwin Van Hooydonck... nowadays in retrospect I'm a fan!
Last "big love" Ivan Gotti.
Since then not really fan of anybody anymore. Ok, Rigoberto Uran, but that has more to do with his personality than the way of riding, must have had 1 attack in his career and nobody saw it because it was in a tunnel (at the Giro).
Sympathies of course, Carapaz, like his riding style, both visually and how attacks, or dies trying to follow a wheel. Pello Bilbao, not much to like style wise, but gritty (also sort of predicted his late emergence as a GC rider after the Vuelta 17, so if for once I was right, of course then I like that rider.)
