That's the Murias to Ancares via Pan do Zarco side, definitely the toughest (that part of it is 12km at 9,3%).

I think it looks more like they're doing the side from Murias via Balouta, so this will be the last 37km of the stage:

I went with Purito. I'm not sure what kind of shape Contador will be in, we know his team isn't great, and the lack of a true flat time-trial will be a major help for Joaquin Rodriguez.

Andy Schleck would be a good bet were he in shape, but I would be surprised to see him on the start line as a serious favorite for the Vuelta given his fragile state.

This race wouldn't suit De Gendt even if he were going to be racing (conflicting reports on here). He would have had a very good shot had he been participating in this Tour, but we figure we'll let him get hitched in peace...

I think everyone has missed Contador, he's such a natural on a bike and probably the only rider who can really blow the race apart with a big attack on a climb so it'll be great to have him back.

I just hope Froome rides, and can maintain the same kind of form he has now. Dont think I can wait till next July for a Contador - Froome showdown! Vuelta could be the best GT of the year if it happens. :)

Can't really see past the run away train that is a very fresh Alberto Contador who will probably win 20+ minutes above the other GC contenders no contest really.

What's Contador going to use for a team to help him?

He doesn't need any team support in the mountains to win the Vuelta. Protecting him from the wind and crashes on the flat and carrying water bottles for him are the roles expected of his domestiques. Saxo-Tinkoff have a good enough team for that.

He does have a lot of mountain domestiques though. Dani, Jesus, Majka, Pires. I honestly think Dani will do, but of course Alberto wants Jesus with him.
