The question is...

Can anyone outrace(smart) Gaudin?

Watch out for phinney... He will come big, just worried that he had quite a disrupted year this season. Missing out on msr and e3

Cancellara isn't as strong as the last year, but he's developed a sprint that only a few can match after 250 k's on the cobbles, so...
The first defense of the double on the program next Sunday, stay tuned.
Flandriens obviously need the Swiss to set them a benchmark.

Could be a great race. Cancellara is the favorite, but not by a huge margin. He didn't look as strong this year as he did last year in the Ronde, and last year he had a lot of trouble winning Roubaix.

On the other hand, he could be having a different build up. Last year he looked past his peak in Roubaix, while this year he improved a lot between Strade Bianchi, where he looked fairly weak, till now. Maybe he'll be stronger next week.

Although I think Cancellara is the favorite, I'd like Vanmarcke to win a little more. Great gutsy rider. He has had a lot of bad luck the last couple of years, but when he is strong, he is really strong.

Cance again ftw, cant see Sep outsprinting him. Degenkolb could but he's unlikely to hang on during infernal Carrefour, Mons and the like. Can't see Thomas figuring, he will likely crash (not because he's a cowboy, he is a good bike handler, but he does take risks), also hasn't got the sheer power required for Roubaix. He could end up working for Wiggo on the day.
Whoever wins it will need some luck on the day, that is the nature of the beast.

You just can't look past Turgot/Gaudin/Minard for an AG2R/French 1-2-3

Vincent Jerome did a pretty good race today, was surprised. Gaudin should have stayed with Turgot at Europcar, they would have a very nice cobbles team, so none of them has anything

I am not sure that Boonen is out of it.

Yea PR suits him way better. Look at '07, his RVV was pretty bad but then next week he was prob the best guy in the race.

He's always better in PR, except for '06/'10.
