Interested to see what Stybar will do.
Would like to see Vanmarcke really put the pain on at the front, even if he won't win.

Good thing it is Gerrans' first race back, it would terrible to see him win here.

Cunego did well last time didn't he? Hopefully he can show something

Ah didn't know he was riding. I'd like to see him win as well, but I agree with you that that is unlikely.

Hoping for Sagan or Styby

but purely because of the CQ game I need this podium to keep me in the game:

1. Visconti
2. Styby
3. Sagan

Well, Visconti winning is very unlikely as this once a race horse was turned into a mule or even donkey working his A$$ off for Valverde :(

I went for Valverde, but would love it if ?tybar won. Then again, Valverde's the sort of rider whom I like so much more when he wins (I'd contrast him with Gerrans, whom I dislike even more when he wins), because so much of the reason I don't like him has to do with sprinting for a podium place -- I enjoy the wins when he rides more aggressively.

Ideally yes, but don't think so. Voted for the best all-around rider there is in cycling today.

How is he a better allrounder than Wiggins?
If Wiggins was able to contend classics and Grand Tours in the same season, you'd have an argument.

But he doesn't.

He is a TTer who can either be light and TT up climbs, or he can be heavier and able to be up there in Roubaix. Even then he can't do sh!t in basically any other classic.

Armstrong was more of an allrounder than Wiggins.

I'm a fan of Wiggins, but to add to this, even with last year's placing in Roubaix, he hasn't demonstrate an ability to win major one-day races. Does he have a more prestigious win on his palmar?s than his national RR championship?

Stannard to drive it from the front for the last 100km then outwit Cancellara, Sagan, Stybar and Valverde ... doing a wheelie across the line while eating a banana :D

Voted for Viviani because I didn't expect anyone to vote for him... turns out someone else did

Putting my money on Spartacus just like everyone else (PS Did Gilbert pull out or did the creator of the poll just forget about him?)

Well, it would be time for sagan to get his first win of the season, but as I am watching, he's going to find a masterpiece way ho to come second.

Nah, with such a good team I think he will beat every one on the final hill, yes that includes Piti.

Yeah, about that hill, IMO a terrible finish. Beat your opponents to the corner on the steep hill and you've won.

Picturesque? Absolutely.

Whereas what makes many of the Spring races so great is the relatively open, flat finish. If you've got some snap you can steal the win from the fitter opponents.

The other elements are beautiful, really elemental, dramatic stuff. The race desperately needs a flat finish so a group is left to "play" the last 1K.

Oh, another for Sagan to win. Unless disaster strikes.... and it could! Which is why a race like Strade Bianche is an instant classic.

Stybar should podium if he doesn't have to work for someone else. Which, he probably does. That's the way Omega Pharma seems to work.
