Voted Quintana. I think Froome will not be 100% and Quintana will ride everyone off his wheel on many mountains. I also hope for Pozzovivo to do well and will be cheering for him to podium and win a stage.

I feel bad for you. First dekker, then gesink, then kruiswijk, then mollema and now Keldermann ;)

Why? They all made top 10 in GT's (except Dekker, but he won tirreno and romandie) whereas, when I started following cycling, the best dutchman in the GC was somewhere near place 50. Unless Boogerd had 3 large breakaways and finished 11th or something

Hoping Contador comes good at the 11th hour. Still going to be a cracker without him though

To me it looks like Unzue is abandoning a Valverde ship. After this giro and tour,he is more than covinced that with Valverde he won't achieve nothing exceptional at GT's anymore.
I think it will be all for Quintana next year,if something unexpected happens at this Vuelta. And thats good for Movistar, and cycling.

Dont think Froome will be a contender, very much plays down his chances in a recent interview. He will be some way off top form

So they lived up to the promise they had? ;)

Dekker was confirmed to be a GT winner, it was only a matter of time. Same with Gesink.

Dan Martin will win, because, like the previous 2 Vuelta winners, he has little races in his legs at this point of the season.

Along with Kreuziger and Gerdemann... yeah, those were the days.

As for Gesink, we'll just have to wait a few more years and he'll win the Tour 2010. He's already been promoted up to 4th.

... but unlike the previous 2, he has no GT pedigree to speak of.

I believe in Urán and want him to win, though his success will depend on how good OPQS present themselves as a team. Also, Garmin has a very, very strong team with the likes of Dan Martin, Talansky, Hesjedal and Cardoso.

Froome for the win,i don't think he'll miss this opportunity to finally add Vuelta a Espana to his achievements. So far his got a 2nd and a 4th place,3rd try should be the lucky one:D

Its the first time for a while that I wouldnt mind Froome winning. No Contador or Nibali there.
Also, maybe that would get him thinking about winning all 3 and I am really curious how he would do in Giro

Has he continued his training during his down time?

I have no links.. But seem to remember some twitter comments about him keeping up the training, and I don't think he will push for a Vuelta presence without form, just as I don't believe Riis would let him ride with all the suspicion and unclear furure unless he can provide results.
.
Rogers kept himself in shape, so why not Roman...

Furthermore he might be the one with the freshest legs (no GT in them)

But my prediction is as much a hunch as it is a guess... :)

EDIT: some recent ones:

Roman Kreuziger @Roman86_K · 28. jul.
Bad weather in czech today?☔️☔️☔️No problem let's go on #hometrainer ...#motivation #fun ,my #workinprogress

Roman Kreuziger @Roman86_K · 25. jul.

I'm with Big Mack and can see Uran winning.

We look at this race and see the talent Quintana and Froome have, but my gut tells me that Quintana peaked for the Giro, while Froome peaked for the Tour (even if he didn't finish it). When this has happened in the past, it's often a rider who is almost that overall talented, but focused solely on the one event (Vuelta in this case) who wins.

Didn't Uran place 2nd at the Giro? Did he not have to peak to achieve that?
