I voted Landa very little belief he could actually pull off a win. The possibly saddest part is that with 23 seconds over Roglic I have little confidence that he'll end up on the podium.

Only dead legs stops Roglic getting on the podium probably. I was never confident that Nibali could win. Once Carapaz settled into pink I knew he'd be hard to dislodge. Still the race would have been better with Dumoulin and Bernal but that's sport, especially cycling.

It's completely understandable that no one picked Carapaz as the number one favorite before the Giro. At least he was in the poll.

I wonder if Nibali could have won the Giro by ignoring Roglic and letting his team work when Carapaz attacked. We'll never know.

Well, Caruso worked on that stage and when that happened the gap to Carapaz only got bigger.

Should have been Nibali himself to chase.

Yes Carapaz in the poll but nobody picked him. At least I wasn't the only silly one. Hopefully Roglic has enough petrol left in the tank to overhaul Landa. I think he deserves it with so much stacked against him.

If you factor out Dumoulin because of his crash, then The poll (which I guess was based on the oddsmakers) correctly anticipated 7 of the top 8 finishers in the GC, just missing on Mollema.
