Seriously, this needs to be a poll, and it doesn't need to appear until after the Tour de Suisse is over.

I mean, surely, if Chuck enters, it's a foregone conclusion so why even have a poll?

I'm thinking about two possible contenders...I hear Axel Merckx is going to come back and finally live up to his daddy's example...but I also hear that Dave Stohler has a new team, The Cutters, which expect to challenge mightily with duct tape pedals!

Pantani will come back from the grave to lay the smack down.
Finally a connoisseur!
However I expect a Frenchman to win this year.:p I've heard a lot of positive things about that Richard Virenque.

I'm not an expert but I predict a guy from Raleigh Team Banana to take Yellow (just after going Green), to Slip up, then to crash ,and lose some Skin and then Peel back to win in the Bunch.

Sorry:eek:

this is what you get when you start a pointless tour de france thread in the middle of the giro. you are missing some terrific racing in italy.

Elvis has been in serious training. The King will take the win for sure.

I'm pretty sure Jack Bauer will win it this year. And we will get to watch in 24 1 hour installments in real time

Boonen.

He's lost 15kg since the Big Bear stage in Cali and is now able to sustain 7W/Kg without breathing through his mouth... and please, no snide comments about his chemically altered nasal passages as Tommeke just wants to talk about the future, not the past.

I would say Contador, but I think he'll get too excited in the Pyrenees and keep attacking the Tourmalet long after the Tour has moved on.

Have got a tenner on both Jimmy Casper and Wim Vansevenant. Heard they're up for a new challenge after dominating the Lanterne rouge.
