Tour is over, whoever thinks otherwise is in denial or thinks nibali will crash out.

The only one who has the balls and the legs to do something is the one who is in yellow

It's not just balls and legs. It's also the types of riders that are left.

Valverde and Porte are more long hard tempo climbers. Not out of the saddle explosive attackers like Contador.

Purito can attack but obviously way too far back.

There's no one left (in contention) that can attack crazy hard like Froome or Contador. TDF is now one long bore fest.

Nibali has about 75% chance to win the from here.

With Cancellara out, who do you guys think will make the top 10 in the ITT stage 20? What is the pecking order amongst the GC guys?

I guess something like

1.Martin
2. Van Garderen
3. Nibali

how about Kwiatowski?

Astana's team will ride most off their wheels similar to Sky '12 leaving just a few contenders in the red zone with 2-3 km to go. Nibali might gift a stage win to a friend.

The only team with significant strength and tactical options appear more interested in the stupid team classification than going after the real deal. Come on brown power, shows us what you got.

Nah only a race incident can change the outcome imo.

Is Martin now a GC guy?! Porte will do a decent TT, think Kwia will be knackered

Realistically, will anyone even bother to challenge Nibbles? Both Porte and Valverde are heartless and lack the balls...Pinot maybe?

Edit: Lol I put in Froome...meant Valverde, brain fart! Apologies!!

Given what we have seen so far from him and the strength of Astana, if he stays on his bike and is healthy, Nibali can win Le Tour with a similar advantage to Froome last year. He will try to be as dominant as possible without taking extravagant risks to show the world he's a worthy winner in spite of the two favorites abandons. I think Hautacam is circled in red on his calendar. It is also more than possible to beat Richie convincingly in the ITT. Porte and Valverde on the podium.

There can be no winner anymore. It's an * year.
Just not true, not that it's not a * year; but that there can be no winner. Nibali will be the rightful winner, there's nothing he can do if the other favorites crash out and he managed to stay on his bike.

It may be a year where it's remembered for the top favorites crashing out. But he's still the best in the race after they did, and therefore the rightful winner.

Well, I can't accept it. It's not right. It wasn't supposed to be like that. Everyone could see how strong Contador has been this year and Nibali has never been able to touch him in the mountains, definitely not when he is at his best.

It's better to replace the * with a ? (Froome or Contador).

So Froome and Contador are the only worthy riders that can be considered as a winner of the race? IMHO that's just not right. And no offense to you, but to say Nibali isn't the true winner of the race is a little insulting to him and doesn't give him the credit he deserves.

That what overhyping two riders does. Blame the media, blame the mass.

As someone previously posted on this forum, there's no such thing as right or wrong in sports. Someone wins, others don't. End of story. If you can't accept it, well, you haven't understood how sport works.
