Evans actually did not have a bad Tour. He just was out of it after the TTT. I think his split up Ventoux was the same than of the GC leaders, he just missed a split in the field eariler, because he was not vigilant, or down the back.

So, if Evans was on a squad that supported him, and rode high in the TTT, he would have been thereabouts Wiggins and Armstrong. Still a few rungs behind Contador and Schleck tho

He had a bad day in the French-Italian-Swiss stage. The following stage he was mentally out of it. So that makes it two in a row. So he was really out of contention in the Alps. So a good team was not going to make a difference for all the time he lost in the Alps. Something else was wrong with him

I played the yoohoo videos on last night. I made immediate note of instant 5 or 15 kilogram weight loss that indicates “transformation”. Wiggins is now contender for all major road race grand tours including most prestigious tour de fasso. His weight to crank ratio is very high in PR this past year. Wiggins power was so great on coble stones that Garmin upper management immediately knew the great potential for grand tour success.
