He just seems to have a big operation behind him. You get the impression he's somehow the favoured contender for the Tour. I don't really know what sort of return Sky get from all this, but I supose cycling is a sport on the up in the UK - good to have a big piece of. In any case choosing the highly recognised olympic champion has to be better for marketing purposes than some brits that looked like more likely stage racers a few years ago e.g. Cummings. If it's that easy to say " We want a British Tour champion." and then go ahead do it why aren'thtey all at it?
