After the first crash you could tell that his confidence was gone and he kept making rookie mistakes. time trial bikes are really hard to handle so when your mind is shot, your screwed. If i remember right they switched him to his hill climbing bike which is the one he's most comfortable on and that's how he finished the day. I really felt for the guy that day.
