I was going to post this question earlier today - but how do you make a poll on this forum?

I checked the tick box (and picked 2 choices) but I couldn't see where you select the options to say 'yes' or 'no' etc

ps. I think it will be a reduced bunch sprint.

Could Cancellara make an attack stick at the end could be another option in the poll?

i think "how big the bunch will be (on the finish)?" is more reasonable question in this case.

exactly. I would have three options

1) A small breakaway/lone rider
2) A bunch sprint between a large group of contenders
3) A bunch sprint involving the bulk of the peloton

In which case I pick option 2.

Yeah, this course ain't hard enough to produce anything else. A couple of the sprinters (see: Cav) could be dropped, but I reckon the last 300 metres will be the most decisive ones of the race...

Oh but I hope Cancellara wins anyway :)

I think it will be like last year with a sprint between a group of 20 to 30 riders and my hunch is that it will be won by a Norwegian again.

I say yes but looking at the makeup of the US squad it is difficult to figure their approach to this course

Assuming there is a team tactic at all. is it every man for himself?

Brent Bookwalter
Matthew Busche
Timmy Duggan
Tyler Farrar
Benjamin King
Jeff Louder
Taylor Phinney
Andrew Talansky

Force riders to ride on after they punctured, those were the most exciting things that happened... >_<

Put in some stairs and steps that the riders either have to run up or bunny-hop. Turn this into cyclocross. Have them ride up stairs in buildings then leap from building to building parkour style.

Just do SOMETHING.

Sven Nys would make a great world champion :p

Should get them some BMX bikes for this type of street terrain.
Gotta add the style points too just like the Xgames:cool:

I'd think most of the team would work for Farrar, wouldn't you think that's their best medal chance? Phinney will be his leadout if he can stick for 260km.

Phinney cant. He will probably quite the race before the finish.

Yes that's a distinct possibility. Hincapie could have suited up to help Farrar here. Imagine Vansummeren saying "nah I can't be arsed to ride for Belgium to help Gilbert in the Worlds.' I guess Zabriskie is excused after his TdF crash.
