Damn, if Kroon had made it I would be laughing now.

I was a bit worried there, being a BMC voter myself, but they caught poor old Kroon and then Euskaltel looked strong in the last 10km. :p

Evans, Ballan and Van Avermaet = all a good chance to win a stage either today or tomorrow as far as I'm concerned.

Samu could win today also...

I don't see him winning a stage, allthough tomorrow he has a chance. It's more likely he will win the overall.

dark sides, good sides... meh... it would be funny to see what could happen to this forum if Evans would have joined Rabobank or so
edit: and Gesink to BMC :D

He has a chance in Macerata imo but the gc is his best chance.

Agreed, hypothetically if Samu wins today but Evans takes the overall gc, I wouldn't really care that BMC were the last team to win something because the race we won was a very big significant bike race compared to winning a stage of tdu for example.

Or worse, Gesink and Evans were on the same team!

fortunately the teams who won stages in the TDU (HTC, Garmin, Rabobank, Sky) have all gone on to win more races afterwards to make up for the lack of "status" of the tour down under.

I would consider an overall a win. I mean, he would win the entire race.

I dunno, I'd rather enjoy seeing Evans work for Gesink ;)

this I do not agree with.
BMC, like the other teams were still racing for the win in these so called lower quality races. Just because a race is less glorified makes it no less impressive or deserved. Unlike the other teams, BMC have simply failed thus far.

Ventoso's win in the "queen stage" forgotten already?

If we didnt consider overalls as wins i think AG2r would still be "winless".

No, now Cuddles needs to break his habit of stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Years of Cuddles fandom has me nervous whenever Cuddles is the strongest rider in the best position, it rarely bodes well for his health.

I have converted you from a Contador + Valverde fanboy (dark side) to an Evans/BMC loving fanboy (good side):D

after Chieti stage I'm totally rooting for Van Avermaet for AGR, today (cuz I saw the stage today) He gained me as Fan... I wish He can retain or even increase his form for the Ardennes!

Some of us are on both sides. I like AC, Valverde, and Evans!

Well I'm always rooting for Contador, Valverde and Cunego... but sincerely when I'm watching cycling I dont even think "hey this guys is clean... oh this other is not clean" I just enjoy it as much as possible, always yelling for Contador "Attack damn it! attack!" when I saw Vino attacking I just raise and yell even harder... When I saw Cunego doing what He did in Chieti I just cry cuz I was so happy just see him sacrifice in that way... etc... I just enjoy and dont think too much ;)

I agree, but strictly speaking, a win is a stage or one day race win. A win where you get to raise your arms as you cross the line in first. I'd take the overall over a stage win in a minor stage race anyday, but that's not the point. In the context of this question, the last team to get a "win" could still be BMC even if Evans does win the overall (but no stage) at T-A.

Overall = WIN...
saying other thing is just stupid... any rider would take an overall win over a stage win, especially in a Historical race as T-A or P-N or Dauphine, etc...

That should make all the LA haters happy - he never won 7 Tours, he only won some stages.

If two pretty girls give you a kiss, hand you some flowers, and let you spray them with an oversized bottle of champaigne its a win (....if for GC).
