Winter training for cyclists

Any advice for winter training for cyclists,

I will be limited to weekend rides - probably 1 (50 miles) - Was wondering if spinning would be beneficial, also running, hill walking, weight training? thanks.

What winter climate will you experience?
If snow then try XC skiing.
If just all round lousy weather try CX.
If nice climate (Southern US for example) just keep riding your road bike).
You might think about velodrome riding provide there is one near you that is rideable in the winter.

Would suggest trying to develop or at least maintain the fitness you ended the season with. Preferably some form of aerobic exercise. Question with weight training is whether a lack of strength, or muscle, is limiting your health, fitness, cycling fitness and ability to perform in goal events/rides.

Get a fixie..ride outside when possible and on rollers inside when it's not.

I live in Canada, so as cold as -20 to -40C winter temps. My winter training involves interval work on the trainer, strength workouts, and XC skiing and skating outside. I've considered getting a fat tire bike, but doubt that would give me the same aerobic workout as XC skiing and the number of trails are limited compared to XC skiing.

There's a long history of elite cyclists using XC skiing as the winter workout.
Between XC skiing and weight, that seems like a great plan.

A fixed gear will smooth out your spin quite a bit and teach your legs to keep turning no matter what. IMO, the fixed gear riding benefits taper off as you get mastery of both.

Winter is a great time to work on bike handling!!

I'm a gym person almost year-round. Gym time increases in the winter and what riding is done with lots of gym time is pretty mellow.

Hello friends! I am looking for the videos for beginner’s yoga workouts. I want downloadable videos. I wonder if anyone can provide link to such downloadable yoga videos!
