There are people in Ensenada and Monterrey that have never ridden a bicycle, never will that are interested in watching Isaac race.
It's joyous national enthusiasm.
If he get a good result sure everyone will be happy, but just the national pride he is giving people is incredible. People are filled with hope about Del Toro.. I really don't see how in such a short time he has got momentum like Canelo or Fernando Valenzuela.. People are really fixated.. From what I am getting it's not really important that he wins..just at the big show.

What if Jay Vine wins it? He almost beat Ganna the other day.
Good call. I think Vine is certainly in the mix on current form after the Vuelta. He is flying. Almost beat Ganna on a flat TT and also won the Vuelta KOM jersey including two MTF wins. And this is a hilly TT course which should suit him better than the Vuelta TT.

But realistically I think the two favs are still Pogacar and Remco.

Only 10’ between Pogi and Vargas.
Vargas is Colombian. Although he isn't a top Colombian cyclist, it's a country where being a professional cyclist is equivalent to having an acceptable level.

Vine is a favorite for the podium in my opinion, and we'll see what color the medal is.
Last year he would have finished third if he hadn't had the accident, and it was a less hard circuit.

He was 6th in the last ITT in the Vuelta, 11s behind Ganna. I think his shape is fine. But if Pogacar is in the form he needs to be to win, he will definitely catch him.
Probably. I always hear about Kung as this big TT'er, but...I have never noticed him winning anything meaningful. Always well down in the standings in the big events, and this one? Way too much climbing.
