They should let a couple of the favourites go first in these early places to get a good look at how fast the top guys really go. Also for a laugh, imagine Remco zooming past some Syrian refugee, getting a bit slowed down on a corner waving his arms around and demanding they get out of the way.

I wonder if anything can be extrapolated from Reusser winning -- kind of a powerhouse more traditional TT winner.

Is it raining? This could be a big factor if it rains more for the last few riders.
Del Toro starts earlier.

Vermeersch took a full 5 seconds on Shemu in the T1-T2 section
Pacing plan of Belgians is probably to make sure they’ve got enough energy left for the last two climbs. They’ve mentioned that a couple of times the past few days that they need to be sure they’ve aren’t completely spent

Massive amount being gained on the descent from Vermeersch, the benefits of having a setup you didn't just pick up from the local Toys R Us on the morning of the race.
Vermeersch probably did the 2nd climb slower than Shemu cosidering the descent that was in there.

Didn't expect to see so many trees, but this part of Kigali looks lovely and green. Think I even saw some purple hydrangea just now. :)

Liu just finished, thank god the suffering is over for both him and the spectators.
