Quick-Step is the team with the best equipment. Hayter put on a display in the second sector yesterday. Today, they could have won silver.

Sure the stakes were higher there and there’s a much bigger impact on their palmares, but this was a humiliation for sure. Remco made him look like a third rate rider there.
Eh. I think some posters (both fans and haters of Pog) are going a bit wild here. He came fourth, it wasn't a dreadful ride - he looked worse than he was because he had the misfortune to be in front of Remco. Vine is the only rider Remco wouldn't have caught, which is incredible.

I'd have liked to see how Ganna and Tarling would have done on this parcours. I don't think anything would have stopped Remco getting another gold, but I think they'd have been better than they might have expected.

Congrats to Remco! What a monster performance by him. Him overtaking Pogi (who had 2'30'' headstart) on the steepest cobbled section will be remembered for years (we had a mini race there, right?). One of the most painful losses for Pogacar, surely. Poor performance and he missed the bronze by 1.7 seconds. Congrats to Vine on a great ride as well, and to Van Vilder on an unexpected medal.

Remember PDBF TT almost exactly 5 years ago? Pog crushed Rogla and won his first Tour. 5 years after something reversed happened. This time Pog was crushed in a TT and overtaken on top of that.

Yeah, I don't think those 2 would have beaten him, but medals were possible.
