They’re not taking any time back. And it’s a pity for ayuso and seixas they are not coming back.
They don't need to take time back on this section just now, it's about being able to save energy to be faster on the climbs, Pogacar can't really save anything at this point.

Pogacar has been unbelievably lucky. Attacking on Mount Kigali was a terrible idea and he has gotten away with it because Remco had two mechanicals
Why? Remco got dropped fair and square. Whether Pogi will "get away with it" remains to be seen, but he did attack on a climb that clearly suited him much better than Remco, which is not a stupid thing to do.

Looking at the composition of the current top 10, it really blows up the argument I'd been seeing that the climbing meters don't matter and guys like MVDP or Wout could have done well here.

Pogacar most likely is just gonna slow down more slowly than the rest on these climbs.

He won't win if he can't get rid of Skjelmose
After Trek apparently dissed Skjelmose by bringing in Juan, cry me a river Ayuso without talking to him..I am really routing for Danish Dude..and I didn't expect a miracle from Del Toro, but as long as he ruined the day for Ayuso and Carapaz that's a win in my book Ben Healy just knows how to race a bicycle.. Remco is the strongest guy in Rwanda.. But is he the smartest?

The chase group will also fall apart sooner or later. Bridging a minute alone won’t happen. They need to bring it down to like 20 seconds so they see pog riding, or the motivation will go down.
