No different the entirety of the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic era in tennis and everything from the Messi/Ronaldo era onwards in football. It's a crying shame it's bled into cycling.I've never seen a fanbase so insecure while having their favorite dominate race after race.
Pidders has cracked properly. Wont finish top 10 it seems
It will leave a lasting impression for sure.Pogi dropping Ayuso earlier was just insane looking. Never seen those two authentically race against each other and Ayusos legs came untwined
? They fought for a medal. If anyone in G4 had had the ability to follow the chase group they would've done. I'd rather race like Pidcock and Hindley today and end up with no result than be totally out of contention. Like Bettiol in 2023.Pidcock and Hindley both imploded completely and are now behind G4.
Complete idiots
They converted being in G2 and fighting for 2nd position into not even a top 10 spot because they did way too much work.? They fought for a medal. If anyone in G4 had had the ability to follow the chase group they would've done. I'd rather race like Pidcock and Hindley today and end up with no result than be totally out of contention. He is 12 at the passing of the finish lineSeems it depends on how many - or how few - riders are even left.
IIRC the gap never was under 38". Remco clearly got a lot of help to come back because he was riding behind his teammates and cars.Sure, he got dropped fair and square, but without Remco's two mechanicals the Belgian team would've kept riding and kept it much closer – Healy and co got it to 30 seconds at one point. Hard to know how much impetus the chase lost without the Belgians (and without Van Wilder) but it looked like a lot.
The fact it was a bad decision is shown, to me, by Pogacar storming the cobbled climb every time he goes up it – as everyone knew would happen. He is obviously the strongest rider in the race, and he is obviously the strongest rider since Merckx, but he got away with a tactical error.
GOLFSays a lot about how exciting the race isn't that the past few pages are >50% Pogacar fanboys.
And this was literally the two of them doing combined maybe 10-15% of the pulling in a 5 man group..They converted being in G2 and fighting for 2nd position into not even a top 10 spot because they did way too much work.
No, I appreciate them going for broke. They were probably hoping for a Skjelmose in Amstel situation, and I'd rather that than the usual Strade Bianche 'we give up' approach. They converted being in G2 and fighting for 2nd position into not even a top 10 spot because they did way too much work.
Pidders? You literally quoted me on saying he likely wont finish top 10Who is?
