You mean Hector Alvarez? Went for an early attack, just excited to race high level after his early season injury. and he paid for it. Fourth place is not bad though. He is just 18 years old like Finn.Martinez sprinting for pride

Father is from UK and mother is Italian. He really has command like someone in his family is a native speaker and he grew up with English, he wasn't searching for anything he is 1000% proficient. Guy is outstanding on the bike also.. Threw in a compliment about the Kigali locals.. Classy
It's also so dumb to just say that outright.tactical ineptness.
Widar said he had cramps pretty early in the race..
In the pre-race interview, Widar said loud and clear that he had a bad night. That fact alone should have been enough for the coach to be prudent with his agressive tactics. But no, they went in, head first like there is no tomorrow.
On broad boulevards to boot. While this course may be quite challenging for the riders, it is definitely not very challenging for the viewer. After a few laps II closely watch the action on the two climbs and tune out a bit (or catch on comments here) for the rest of the circuit.Pedaling descents are the bane of any circuit race.
True. But to stick to the battle plan after the whole world heard he had a bad night... I call that stupid. It's also so dumb to just say that outright.
Good thing it's not the NFL--he's have gotten a 15 yd. penalty for weaponry in celebrationsInteresting arrow-shooting technique there.

He was fortunate to rider before they put that rule inThey should have banned Contador straight away then. That Spanish villain.
That is possibly who I saw, didn't see who got 4th place..I thought it was another rider drilling it for a meaningless 4th..out of the medals, off the podium ..prize was pride only. You mean Hector Alvarez? We didn't see it, but it sounds like he looked back when gesturing to the others to pull and hit the fence? It seemed to me that he did this race very well apart from his crash.
That's obviously a mistake but also a bit easy to scold him for... Did we ever see the crash, by the way?
Edit: Also, what's going on with that profile pic?
Okay, that's not an ideal way to crash...We didn't see it, but it sounds like he looked back when gesturing to the others to pull and hit the fence?

The climbs are hard and the biggest difference maker is definitely the cobbled one. The rest of the course is quite leg-sapping – fast, shallow descents with a short rise every few hundred metres between the Kimihurura and the golf course. It's twisty but wide, and both the climbs come after slow corners.Havent really watched a second of these RRs yet. How's the circuit?

That's where he outdoes Nibali. He needs to work on his Italo-English. I don't care his dad is English. This perfect accent is utter nonsense. The best English is broken English.
Why would an Italian woman marry some guy from Sheffield who eats beans on toast? That can't be right!
Now the new champion will do a few interviews in Italian. Guy is impressive
Which Juan are you talking about.Everyone's also drooling about another Southern European talent with perfect English not so long ago...
Didn't have legs and collapsed completely, for whatever reason. Lingering bum injury, stress, poor sleep among cited reasonsI missed the race. What happened to Widar? I thought he would be the strongest
thank you RickDidn't have legs and collapsed completely, for whatever reason. Lingering bum injury, stress, poor sleep among cited reasons
