The UCI startlist is a full startlist which marks both starters and reserves. If everyone with an X next to his name would ride, countries would have four starters in the ITT. When Vacek announces his transfer to Axeon on his 18th birthday a few weeks back, he said that he isn’t riding the ITT because he wants full focus on the RR. 1+1.Logic-is-your-friend said:According to the startlist i posted yesterday or the day before (p36), Vacek is doing the ITT. I found that in a PDF file that was posted earlier this week online.DNP-Old said:No, Vacek isn't doing the ITT and is only on the list of reserves. He's all in for the road race.Flamin said:Valv.Piti said:2 days should be plenty of time to recover from such an effort considering his age. Its all out, but not that long, so he should be good no doubt.Flamin said:I just saw that the juniors do their ITT on Tuesday and then the road race on.. Thursday. What's that all about... Trying to tire Remco huh?
Yeah I was kidding with the Remco thing, since I suppose Vacek is also doing the ITT
But it's just strange why it's so close to each other this year.

It's just a bit annoying that Aru gets a spot without even earning it, he even skipped the NC with the excuse of being sick or something like that.
On the other hand you have someone like Gasparotto who wasn't selected in 2013 or 2014, when he deserved it and was one of the few Italian riders who was able to get a good result in a hilly 250km one day race and in 2014 Ulissi wasn't even allowed to race, so not bringing Gaspa was a bit of a joke.
Bookies have Sunweb as the favourite this year, followed closely by BMC and then Sky and QS at some distance.Dekker_Tifosi said:It's very much like last year. When everybody was expecting BMC, Quick Step or maybe Sky. And I already said that climb in Bergen would suit Sunweb.
This year same situation. The climb will suit Sunweb more. The only difference with last year is that, in my opinion, Kelderman and Oomen were in better form. And Dumoulin wasn't an unknown after 2 GT's like this year. So there's still some blanks to be filled in.
In the white bar above the profile, you can select which race you want to follow. Anyway here is the linkMADRAZO said:Does anyone have a splittime-link for the time trials, startting with the womens TTT now? Tissottiming only apears to have the mens

But just as I post that, they are down to 4. Fahlin not looking too happy.LaFlorecita said:Wiggle Hi5 looking super strong at the first split. The big faves quite a ways off.
Based on GPS, Canyon is at least half a minute faster right now. Boels was more or less equal to Wiggle (time compared to Virtu)ClassicomanoLuigi said:One of the Wiggle teammates blew up, which could cost them some time in the end, and Boels and Canyon teams were close enough in the intermediate to make up some time on the second split... so this looks like it will be close to decide the medalists

Being a sprinter, Rivera will be the best starter. Can Dijk is strong enough to make up the difference.Sestriere said:Does Rivera even provide any slipstream to van Dijk?

I think on that course Aru has to be included. He could be useful.

He probably didn't even try to fight, at least try to ride like Nibali that with 65+ kms to go was already dropped by Androni pace but somewhat managed to return to the head on the race on the flat and even tried to attack in the finale and show that you have a bit of good will to do something.
