Why? Who else do you post as?

I don't post as anyone else. But sometimes I log in, and it kicks me out and i log in again, and then sometimes it tells me the pw was incorrect and then I immediately get the redirect screen. And then sometimes, I am logged in, and i go to post and it says i am not logged in. Cookies, javascript, temp files.....blah blah blah.

The servers obviously are a bunch of liberals just out to mock and torment me....

Deservedly so.........
The problem you have with your password is undoubtedly caused by your fat fingers hitting the wrong keys.

The reality is that he isn't. The man is a pragmatist with a base of belief rooted in liberalism, but not unwaveringly so. His detractors want to paint him another way, but the reality is that he is open to conservative ideas. Now ask yourself if people like Rush, or Rick Santorum, or Michelle Bachmann, or Sarah Palin are as open to counter ideas. The party of no compromise calling someone an "idealogue" shows a complete lack of a sense of irony. You need him to be what you say he is to justify the anger and hatred spewed by your politicians and pundits. That is all about winning elections, and has nothing to do with reality. Friday, the president brought a willingness to govern effectively right into your stronghold. Will your politicians be as honest and practical? That remains to be seen, but I honestly hold little hope that they will turn from their chosen path.

Obama and the Dems are spineless. The triangulation act makes him look weak. Do you think if the wingnuts had 59-41 lead in the senate and whatever they have in the house they would be pussy-footing around when they try to pass their legislation? I believe it was Ed Rendell who said put the stuff you want up for a vote; let them filibuster. Then, more distinction could be drawn on who the idealogues are and who are the obsructionists. This whole presidency with this majority is a joke.

Yeah, this is about elections and the Dems are losing the people they won over last election because they won't follow thru on what they say. Obama's record on human rights is a mirror of monkey's and he tries to compromise with wingnuts that don't negotiate in good faith. That is not what won the election.

Ultimately, I don't blame Obama or the Dems, or the wingnuts. In democracy you get what you deserve. The movie "Idiocracy" hits very close to home.

I was saying the same thing about spinlessness a week or so ago. I do however hand it to Obama for addressing the Republican caucus in the manner he did. That was anything but spineless. Maybe you watched it and thought differently, but the guy showed real balls.

Yeah, I wasn't talking about that but I read about it; actions speak louder than words. But again it ultimately goes back to the people IMO. I bet most don't even know he stood up like he did or know the facts of the legislation; too busy watching American Idol. And, I am not saying I am for/against the health care issue by taking this position.....

The funny thing is the alternative to the spinelessness are the obstructionists who block legislation that would benefit the lives of the people who vote for them. Useful idiots that vote on emotion intead of rationale. I wonder what the people of Massachusetts for example, one of the most progressive states, think they are getting? Amazing. A third party is the answer to all this but it will never happen, especially now with campaign finance reform in shambles.

I guess my irritation is always towards people that have free will and have choices. Rush Limbaugh and **** Cheney don't irritate me. Their enablers do. If you truly believe in their platform it is one thing, but alot in my area vote the way they do because of racism, religion, etc. while not even paying attention to whether the economic and foreign policies ultimately hurt them more than the other choice.

I've written to liberal bloggers who do nothing but whine about the republican politicians, saying they should direct their anger at the population instead. It always falls on deaf ears for some reason. I don't get it. Even Greenwald is hung up on the machine and not the fuel.

Faux had a different opinion, perhaps because it sounded not communist/fundamentalist/Kenyan enough for their viewers?

Fox Cuts Away From Obama-GOP Conversation In Order To Get A Head Start On Attacks: He Was ‘Lecturing’

It's time to follow the advice of Doris Kearns Goodwin

I usually don't listen to TV gasbags that have been held to zero accountability, but Kearns basically stated exactly how I feel. Good for her.

Foxnews is carefully crafted to appeal to basic emotions, and it and the republicans are ripe with codewords to appeal to this demographic. Describing a black man as "lecturing" whites is a button pusher that will irritate mouthbreathers more than if he was white.

Well, Scribe why don't you look in to the statistics and report what you find back to the group.

In fact, rather than being an just a bomb-thrower why don't you look in to how the WHO arrived at their rankings too.

If you want to discuss, then please feel free. If not, do your homework before spouting off.

Obama's Federal budget proposal? $1.56 Trillion deficit. This year.

The good news is the budget allows for the Bush tax-plan to expire, so there's that.

And the Bush unnecessary war in Iraq is winding down a bit, but still costs a couple of duckets to do so...so there is always that too. Bush/Cheney, the gift that just keeps on giving.

Ah, this year's budget is Bush's fault too. Got it.

Just curious, how far into Obama's second term will he be considered responsible for his administration's results?

Hey, you can overlook the reality of the budget all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that the Iraq war is a big ticket item, and has done little to improve national security, nor was it started for honest reasons. When we are out of Iraq, we can stop blaming Bush....for something he is to blame for. Reality brother, reality.

Hmmm. Obama was to end the Iraq war. Nope. Close Gitmo. Nope. War in Afghanistan? Expanded. $787bn stimulus plan promised unemployment not to exceed 8%... not so much. $1.56tn one-year deficit? Huge. Sign no bills with ear-marks... the last one he signed had nearly 9,000. Has an "economic summit" without much business representation (but plenty of unions). And this 'reality' goes on and on.

Seriously, how are we to get out of this debt?
