World record for the 12 hour time-trial

Can someone out there enlighten me as to which other countries apart from England/UK have an official 12 hour time-trial record/competition ?

so it would seem to be entirely possible, in fact quite likely, that cycling 277.25 miles in 12 hours in 1967, would have constituted a world record at that point in time?

Because, if so, this is one of the most remarkable world records that have ever been set.
